I have an expression, "Better to be a Poor Kennedy than a wealthy Trump". The word Trump can be interchanged with anyone who has wealth without class. Just as one can possess wealth without class, one can possess class without wealth. One can also feel rich and experience luxury without wealth. It may be in the minute details surrounding your dwelling or just knowing how to get what you want for cheaper. There are many ways to go about this selective lifestyle. "Selective" refers to the conscious effort you put into making your existence better. It takes some time and some energy and compromise. I will teach you how I have done it and you can play around with your own techniques.
Class, Quality, Compromise
There are many interpretations of class. In 2 c. Merriam Webster defines class as "high quality : elegance a hotel with class"
There are a few rules of thumb to this lifestyle.
1. Quality vs. Price
(to a certain extent)
2. Mend and make due
(to a certain extent)
3. Compromise
4. Project Class
If you were to find it in the dictionary it may look something like this:
Poor Kennedy:
noun
1. A person of limited means with an eye for luxury
2. A person of limited means who is thrifty but discerning
adjective
1. A type of lifestyle based on having luxury on a budget
